Must Have Essentials on a Trip:

Must Have Essentials on a Trip:

I'm the type of person that packs way too much stuff and regrets it because I'm lugging around a big heavy bag full of things I'm not going to use. But there are some things that I bring on my trip that I ADORE!

Charging adaptors:

Obviously I bring charging chords. I'm not going to go on a 10 day excursion with my phone and not charge it. I am so glad that I was able to bring charging adaptors with me. Do your research on the country that you are going to so that you are able to charge your electronics. I ended up buying a little packet of refurbished adaptors (pack of 3) for about $10. Each adaptor had the ability to charge 2 things at once, so that was 6 items I could charge at once. They worked GREAT! I was so happy that I brought all 3 adaptors with me so that I could charge everything at night and have fully charged equipment for my day.

Toiletry Bag:

I'm not really the one that plans ahead with my toiletries. Typically I'm the person who forgets her toothbrush or deodorant on a trip. I am NOTORIOUS for not showering for days or proper hygiene during trips because i'm too busy during the day to sight see, eat, soaking up every possible bliss there is on a trip. But this time around, I was serious. I wanted to make sure everything was prepared perfectly so I could not only soak it up but really pretend that I was living there. So I bought a cute little travel size toiletry bag that held my hair and skin care routine. Not only did it hold it but it came in pretty colors and it was fairly cheap.

Packing bags:

This was the last item that I specifically bought for this trip. Everything else I brought I got previously for other reasons and decided to bring them. I bought these space saver packing bags from amazon on sale for black Friday. I was really skeptical because I don't think that there was much space to save when you're packing in such a little space to begin with. So I tried them out when I was traveling for Christmas. It didn't save me space at all. It was honestly annoying to use since everything was packed in 3 bags and I kept having to open them and close them again. HOWEVER, I got these bags for this trip so I was determined to make them work. I packed my carry-on without the space saver bag and it was difficult to put everything I wanted to bring into the bag. Once I used the space saver though, I was able to pack an extra pair of shoes and a couple more dresses for options. These space saver bags are 10/10!

Cord organizer:

Okay, I bought these wireless headphones once and I hated them. I don't even know what happened to them but I couldn't find them. I did find the cute little bag protector thing that they came in. I decided to use this as a cord organizer. I hate going into my purse and finding 5 different chords for different things and getting my hand wrapped up in that. So organizing my chords was so handy for me during this trip. I didn't have to stress about breaking a chord or the cords getting tangled. It was really nice since I had 6 different chords I had, all going to a different device.

Rolling carry on bag:

I don't often use my rolling carry-on bag. Most of the time I travel, I take a very large duffle bag that can be put in overhead storage or under the seat in front of me. I would just have to carry it. For my Europe trip, I knew that I didn't want to carry a bag around since I didn't particularly know what I was doing. So I pulled out my old rolling carry-on bag. It was so handy and helpful getting me through the airport confusion, walking 3 miles to the nearest hotel or train station or rolling it behind me on a bike. I will say though, make sure it actually rolls smoothly. Like I said, I haven't used my rolling bag in YEARS so I just packed it and went on my way. One of my wheels broke the instant I got to the airport. It still rolled but not nearly as smoothly and those European brick roads were difficult. But please spoil yourself and get a rolling one if you don't already have one.
