Mini Blog number 2 is a great little place in Seattle, WA. Let's talk about it.
Storyville Coffee is a modern coffee shop in downtown Seattle. I don't remember how I came to find it but I do remember walking the streets on a rainy Friday with my over-the-shoulder carry-on bag and my purse. I remember that I was extremely exhausted and I was needing caffeine to pick me up. If I remember correctly, which there's like a 50% chance I am, I got to Seattle wanting to go downtown. I pulled up my maps app on my phone and typed in coffee and the first place I found was this Storyville coffee place. So I plugged that into my uber location and let technology do its thing.
This coffee shop is singlehandedly responsible for me liking coffee. Before my trip to Seattle, I had no interest in coffee. But this place is the reason why I drink coffee now. The atmosphere was great. I remember it being crowded but not so much so that you couldn't find a spot. It was very similar to Starbucks vibes where there were a lot of wood accent pieces and people on their laptops but it didnt smell like basic Karens.
I remember the staff being very kind to me, recommending me different types of coffee since, at this point, I wasn't a huge coffee fan. I remember paying them using apple pay, which I had never done up to that point before. It was very tech-forward. I remember that their decorations were imaginative but didnt feel like a children's land. It felt like a modern-day, chic, storybook.
It was a very nice place to go to relax, drink, and enjoy the Seattle weather while figuring out where to go, stay, and explore. I highly recommend getting a cup of coffee and watching as the town passes by.
